Hi everyone,

We are Floor, Puk and Sophia, currently completing our minor for university in South Africa and we’re reaching out to you with a heartfelt mission: to help Siyazama Preschool build a brand-new, safe and welcoming home for its young children.

Siyazama is a preschool in Port Alfred, South Africa that provides essential early childhood education and care for children aged 1 to 4 years old. These little ones deserve a nurturing, secure and inspiring environment to learn and grow — but right now, that’s not the case.

At the moment, the children at Siyazama not only learn but also take afternoon naps in the same building — a space that due to water flooding and unfinished floors is simply not safe or suitable for naps or crawling children. This building is cramped, unsafe and lacks the facilities these children need to thrive. Snakes among other animals are entering the building with ease and there is no proper insulation keeping these young children warm during the winter or cool during the summer.

We are determined to change that. With your support, we want to raise funds to build a brand-new, safe and child-friendly building where Siyazama’s children can learn, play and dream without fear. Every contribution — no matter how big or small — will help us create a space that nurtures these children’s futures.
