Animal loving friends,

We are a newly established animal sanctuary near Los Angeles, California. In June of 2020, we officially opened Singer Sanctuary with four rescue animals. Today - in August 2021 - we live with 26 animals that we've saved from abuse and neglect. Rescued from factory farms, laboratories, animal cruelty cases, and local LA shelters, these animals now have a clean, loving, beautiful forever home, where they live their best lives and serve as ambassadors to teach visitors about the myriad of ways society exploits animals like them.

Inspired by Gene Bauer's Farm Sanctuary and Ellie Laks' Gentle Barn (and several other smaller sanctuaries), we hope Singer Sanctuary can continue to grow into a place where people can learn about the plight of farm and lab animals and where animals and people can inspire healing in each other.

To ensure this growth, we are asking you to help us. Help us save more animals through direct rescue and education by contributing to our first annual fundraiser!

The money we raise with this GoFundMe effort will help us achieve two crucial goals:  it will help us buy a used truck and trailer for daily errands and emergency preparedness and it will allow us to hire our first employee, to ensure our animals get the best possible care. LA is predicted to have the worst fire season on record, and we want to make sure we can evacuate our residents safely. Once we have our trailer, we will stock it with emergency supplies and start evacuation drills - especially with our goats and pigs.
Our part-time employee will, most importantly, help take care of our animals, but she will also assist with social media, public visits, the website, trips to the vets, shopping, and cleaning. And the good news is, we've found someone whose dream job is to work at an animal sanctuary :). We just need the funds to pay her!
