My family and I are seeking urgent support as we face the final weeks of our son Rhoam’s medical crisis and my wife’s graduation from UAF. Rhoam was recently medevaced for complex seizures, SJIA, and rheumatic fever; since insurance only covers one escort, we have exhausted our savings self-funding Gary’s travel to ensure Rhoam has the two-person care he requires. This has been an incredibly stressful time for us, as we try to balance Rhoam’s medical needs with the emotional and financial strain of being far from home. We are doing everything we can to keep our family together and support Rhoam’s recovery, but the costs have quickly overwhelmed us.
At the same time, my wife has worked hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA this semester at UAF, but a scholarship error has left her with an urgent tuition balance that must be paid off by May 1st, and payments need to start today. The balance has already accumulated a late fee, adding to our worries. The cost of travel between Venetie and Fairbanks is significant, and we are struggling to cover these expenses while ensuring Rhoam gets home safely and my wife can finish her education to provide for our family’s future. Your donations will cover medical travel, emergency living expenses, tuition payments, and late fees. Mahsi’ choo. Any support is deeply appreciated as we navigate this urgent time. We are also thankful for the donations received last July 2025.
