Support Simonique

Hi, my name is Wadiya, and I am fundraising for a dear friend and colleague, Simonique F., age 37, from Philadelphia, PA. and permitted by her family to do so. I am hosting this fundraiser to support Simonique, who suffered a stroke four months after giving birth to her first and only child, a beautiful baby boy on September 22, 2022. Simonique was working as a Patient Care Associate at a hospital when, after her shift, she went to the parking lot, where she was found unconscious beside her car. Unsure how long she was in this state, another employee found her and immediately called for assistance. Simonique suffered a large left-sided stroke contributing to right-sided hemi-paralysis. This tragic event occurred to a person who longed to have a baby but will miss precious moments and milestones of raising a child. She currently resides at an inpatient rehabilitation hospital and will require extensive rehab.

While pregnant with her son during the pandemic, she selflessly cared for patients on a Covid patient floor. She never hesitated to volunteer her time to care for grave patients stricken by Covid-19. She supported patients and colleagues to ensure patients and their families received excellent medical care and services. Simonique always cared for patients as if they were her own family.
