Hello! My name is Simone C, and I’m raising funds to support my senior thesis project at RISD: designing and building concert pieces for a student organization at Brown, along with additional adjacent student band performances. This project is a major part of my final year and an important step toward my career in set and production design.

All funds from this GoFundMe will go directly toward materials (full list provided below for transparency).

I’m starting this fundraiser because I’ve unfortunately been unable to secure sufficient institutional funding. When I reached out to RISD for support, I was advised to take out a student loan, and the only direct financial assistance I’ve received so far has been a $50 contribution from the Illustration department.

Any support no matter the amount means a lot. This project is deeply important to me, and it will play a huge role in building my professional portfolio and helping me take the next step in this field.

If you have any extra or reusable materials you’re willing to lend or donate, I would greatly appreciate that as well!! I’m especially interested in reusing materials whenever possible rather than buying new.
