Hello! My name is Simone Ramsey-Ray, I'm a junior psychology major at Spelman College. I've been accepted to study abroad in Barcelona, Spain during the spring 2026 semester. This opportunity is something I have worked towards with dedication. I'm passionate about developing my Spanish language skills and finally becoming fluent in the language. I also have a passion for studying psychology and cannot wait to experience a cross cultural understanding of how to brains works from scholars across the sea.

I come from a single-income household, and my family and I are still recovering after a devastating loss — our home was lost last year January in the Los Angeles fires. While I’ve worked hard to earn scholarships and keep up with my studies, this programs cost is something I simply can’t meet without support.
