My friend and coworker, Simona, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She is a devoted wife and mother to two young children who mean the world to her.

Simona has already endured several months of 2 different chemotherapy treatments and will soon undergo a mastectomy and multiple procedures, followed by a lengthy recovery. Throughout her treatments, she has continued to work with incredible courage and grace. However, once she begins recovery from surgery, she will be unable to work for many months. In the salon industry, time away from work means no income.

Her husband also battled cancer some years ago, so this is the second time their family has faced this painful journey.

Despite everything, Simona continues to face each day with strength and optimism. Yet, the financial strain of covering essential living expenses, childcare, and medical costs adds to an already difficult situation.
