Hi, my name is Eleni, and it truly breaks my heart to be writing this fundraiser for Simba.

Simba is the incredible partner to my lifelong best friend and the loving father of three beautiful children — with their fourth baby due in just a couple of weeks. Watching their family grow has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Together, they’ve also poured their love and energy into building his business, Simba Moto — a space dedicated to helping riders build skills and stay safe on the road.

I’ve had the privilege of supporting along the way — helping build their website and most recently filming content to share Simba’s mission. His purpose has always been clear: to help riders not just enjoy the thrill of motorcycling, but to return home safely to their families every time.

On Saturday, 6th September, that mission and joy were shattered when I received a devastating message: Simba had been in a serious motorcycle accident.

I remember shaking as I read the words, my mind racing, desperately hoping it wasn’t true. The fear was overwhelming. If I felt this terrified and powerless as a friend, I could only imagine the heartbreak of his partner — heavily pregnant (38 weeks!!), with three little ones to care for — facing the possibility that the father of her children might not make it.

Simba’s accident has left the family’s future daunting and uncertain. He was riding on a straight road when an elderly driver failed to give way, pulling out in front of him at 70–80 km/h. He had no chance to stop.

The crash destroyed his motorbike — a crucial asset for both his business and his passion — along with his helmet and protective leathers. Most devastating of all, Simba suffered an acute brain injury, leaving him with affected vision and memory. His recovery will be long and challenging, and in the meantime, his ability to provide for his family has been taken away.

We are fundraising to help ease the enormous stress caused by this accident.
