Our mother is a fun-loving, kind-hearted woman who has always brought light and joy to those around her. She loves the simple pleasures in life—like eating out at her favorite spots, singing along to her favorite songs, enjoying movie nights, and most of all, creating beautiful memories with her family. Her joy, laughter, warmth, and love have always been the heart of our home.

On April 3rd, our lives changed forever. At 38 years old our mother suffered a cardiac arrest, while she was brought back to life; she remains in critical condition, fighting for her life. Since then our days have been filled with hospital stays, surgeries, and around-the-clock care as we stand by her hospital bed side through every small sign of progress.

Through this difficult season, we’ve witnessed the power of community—the prayers, kind words, company, meals and thoughtful gestures from friends, family, and even strangers have uplifted us more than we can say. To everyone who has kept Silvia in your hearts and prayers, thank you. Your love is carrying us forward.

As her immediate family we are alternating being by her hospital bedside at every moment of the day. In order to advocate and care for her, we’ve had to significantly reduce our work hours and, in some cases, go part-time.

Now, we are reaching out to ask for your continued support. As we focus on my mothers healing, we are also navigating the many emotional and financial challenges that come with providing full-time care and stepping away from work.
