On May 21st a woman who was not a patron and not intoxicated drove into the Silver Peso. Her car landed on the gas meter and damaged the structural integrity of the building. Our hopes of a quick reopening were dashed and each week brought more issues. We are now looking at a couple months out. Money from insurance to cover lost wages will take time to come in and in the mean time my savings have dwindled and credit cards pushed to the max. I have been actively looking for work but it is hard to find temporary employment. Unemployment will barely cover my bills and so I must ask for help to get through these next couple of months.
