Support the Sillsbury & Nieves Families After Tragic House Fire

Today, our community was shaken by a devastating house fire in Ringwood, New Jersey, that forever changed the lives of the Sillsbury and Nieves families.

Roger Sillsbury and Benito Nieves lost their home and everything inside it in this tragic fire. Most heartbreakingly, a beloved mother lost her life when she was unable to escape. She was the kind of woman who gave endlessly, loved fiercely, and meant the world to her family, a loss that words cannot fully capture.

Their daughter, Karlie Nieves, is currently fighting for her life in the hospital. She is on a ventilator and has sustained burns over her body. Two additional family members have suffered injuries and remain hospitalized, enduring unimaginable pain and trauma.

In an act of survival, Linda was forced to jump from the home and sustained a broken back. Multiple vehicles were also destroyed in the fire, leaving the family without transportation in addition to losing their home.

This GoFundMe has been created to support the Sillsbury and Nieves families as they face overwhelming medical expenses, funeral costs, loss of housing, transportation, and the long road to physical and emotional recovery ahead. No family should have to endure this level of tragedy alone.
