Hi, my name is Silas, and I’m an 8th grader with a big dream—going on an unforgettable summer trip to Washington D.C. and New York City.

This trip isn’t just about sightseeing. It’s a chance for me to walk through the pages of history, see the places we’ve learned about in class come to life, and gain a deeper understanding of our country’s past, present, and future. From visiting national monuments and museums in D.C. to seeing the Statue of Liberty and the energy of Times Square in New York, this experience would mean the world to me.

Not only would this be my first time traveling to these cities, but its my first time traveling on my own, and only my 2nd time on a plane! I’m excited to learn, grow, and bring those experiences back to share with my family, friends and community.
