Support Silas’ Recovery After Top Surgery

Wow, here we are!! Hello friends!! As many of you know, I got approved for top surgery! I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a surgery date of March 31st! For those of you who know me personally, you may know that this has been a long and emotional process for me. Part of me never expected there to come a day for me where I’d even be able to start looking into top surgery, and every step of the way I was expecting a denial for some reason or another. I can’t believe I’ve even gotten this far!

I am opening this GoFundMe to accept donations to specifically go towards a fund for my recovery from the surgery. If all goes as planned, I will have any surgery costs covered (fingers crossed!), but especially with my surgery date being offered a LOT sooner than I anticipated, I am looking at needing some help covering costs for the period after surgery. If you are unfamiliar with top surgery or the recovery, it is a pretty invasive surgery with a lengthy recovery process. I am most likely looking at having to take around a month off of work, and my partner will also have to take some time off to aid in caring for me during my recovery. This will definitely be a financial strain on both of us, so anything helps out immensely. Anything donated would be going directly to our bills and any medical essentials I would need to aid my recovery.
