Hi, my name is Sigourney Wolder. This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write, but my family and I are in a place where we truly need help.
Lately, my health has taken a serious turn, and I’ve been dealing with medical complications that have left me unable to work or care for my family the way I want to. I am currently dealing with the symptoms and difficulties of a malformation called Arnold Chiari Malformation Type 1. This causes severe, painful migraines, pressure to my head and spine, falls, incontinence, vision, and hearing difficulties. Mobility has gotten harder for me as well. Outside of this, I have a procedure that will be coming up soon that isn’t related to my malformation, but needed for my health as I have other conditions I face. My partner has been carrying so much—taking time off, switching jobs, and being there for me while also caring for our two little girls. Our oldest is just 2 years old, and our youngest is only 7 weeks old. They deserve all the love and stability in the world, and we are doing our best to give them that, but right now it feels like we’re just trying to keep our heads above water.
The medical bills, daily expenses, and the weight of everything happening at once have left us overwhelmed. Some days, it feels impossible to stay strong—but then I look at my babies’ faces, and I know I have to keep going, that we have to keep going. They are my reason for fighting through this, and I know I will make it through. I have to; I’m their mama.
It’s not easy to ask for help, but I know we can’t do this alone. If you are able to donate, share, or even just send us love and prayers, it means more to us than I can ever put into words. Every little bit helps us focus less on the stress of bills and more on healing, on being present for our daughters, and on holding onto hope for better days ahead.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about our little family.
With love and gratitude,
Sigourney Wolder
