Hello everybody. I am starting to GoFundMe for my fiancé Sierra. She has struggled with symptoms of multiple chronic illnesses eases her entire life that have become worsened in her mid to late 20s. It has reached the point of being disabling. Recently, through a surgery on her ovary, we were able to receive the diagnosis of severe endometriosis with implants on multiple organs. Two years ago, the nerve pain and inflammation in her pelvis and left leg became so bad, that she was barely able to walk. She was almost completely bed-bound with an inability to put weight on her left leg. Over the past two years, she has been doing physical therapy and has regained the ability to walk, but still often faces numerous set-backs from the intense visceral pain in her pelvis that radiates up and down her body. Recently, we were able to speak to an amazing endometriosis specialist named Doctor Askari who has a practice in Los Angeles called Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine. After an evaluation of Sierra by his PA, it was determined that she would greatly benefit from a round of pelvic trigger point injections called Pudendal Nerve Therapy. This therapy involves injecting cushioning and nerve blocks into her pelvis in order to cushion her organs and nerves. This would help her regain much of her mobility that was lost and not be in such debilitating pain 24/7. However, Sierra currently lives with her mom who is one of her caretakers (including myself) and they are both low-income. Because she’s unable to hold down a job, Sierra is currently Inland Empire Healthcare Plan which is not in network for this specialist or any endometriosis specialists besides regular gynecologists who don’t offer many effective treatments for her level care needs. We are asking for monetary help from anyone who feels that they can contribute ANYTHING to her treatment. Even if just a few bucks. Whatever you can chip in helps tremendously. Thank you everybody for taking the time to read our story and anything you are able to contribute would be life-changing for my fiancé.
