At the end of August 2024, Sierra started experiencing pelvic pain so intense she was unable to sit or stand for any length of time, so she called her Pelvic floor therapist for an evaluation. At first the thought was her Pudendal Nerve was somehow trapped or irritated, but after two months of different exercises targeting that area there was no relief. She then started to incorporate Yin-Yoga into her daily exercise routine in hopes the stretches would alleviate the pain and help her to be mobile again. Unfortunately, during one of those stretches something unknown happened in her back that started intense neuropathy pain extending down her legs to her feet. The doctors she’s seen since then include her Pelvic Floor PT, a Gynecologist, Family Medicine, Neurology, Rheumatology, Sports Medicine, Spine Surgery, a Physiologist, Multi-Disciplinary Pain Management, Pharmaceutical Pain Management, and a Chiropractor. Nobody has an answer as to what went wrong or any sort of treatment as the cause is unknown. Since the neuropathy explosion in November, she’s had multiple MRI’s, blood tests, ER visits, an EMG, and X-Rays that all show her spine and body is working perfectly, so shes at a loss. She is unable to bend over to pick up her beautiful two year old daughter, she can’t do any physical exercise without debilitating pain from her back down to her feet. She’s been bedridden on her side for around seven months without any light at the end of the tunnel. She’s since then turned to a more holistic approach, and at the suggestion of a Massage Therapist found a Myofascial Release Retreat near Philadelphia that is experienced in treating these ailments. Unfortunately, most times this retreat isn’t covered by insurance and works through out of pocket only. She would need money for the 3 day intensive treatment program, along with the hotel stay and food as its two hours from her house and she’s unable to drive for long distances without days of recovery. Any help is very much appreciated in getting this momma back on her feet to run around with her little girl again.
