Team Sierra- Our Fierce Warrior

Dear Family and Friends,

We are reaching out to you on behalf of the Stone family.
Sierra, at the young age of just 26 years old was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma (PMBCL) along with pericardial effusion.
Sierra’s initial symptoms included a persistent dry cough for weeks, feeling winded and the constant feeling of a lump in her throat along with nerve pain that radiated up her jaw line and into her head. After a trip to the ER, that included multiples tests such as ultrasounds, x-rays, MRIs, chest needle biopsy, and a PET scan. We discovered that she had a 8.7 x 6.8cm mass in her chest which has since grown larger to 9.1 x 7cm and 2.5cm of fluid around her heart. Despite the sudden change of events Sierra has remained strong, positive and determined to fight this disease!
Sierra’s cancer is rare and aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and she is now facing an aggressive six-month regimen of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Sierra will be admitted to the hospital every 21 days for 5 days of continuous chemotherapy. In addition, there will be weekly trips for lab work, cardiologist appointments and other doctor’s appointments in between. As always her family is providing her with a continuous amount of love and support.
Sierra, recently a single mom of two boys ages 2.5 and 6 months old, just finished her first round of chemotherapy! The road ahead will not only challenge her physically but mentally and spiritually as well. In addition, the emotional and financial hardship that the family is already enduring is overwhelming.

During this time, we come to you, our extended family and friends to help ease the financial strain on the Stone family. The donations will assist with travel expenses to and from the hospital, doctor’s appointments, prescriptions and Sierra’s general care and maintaining her financially. While the family realizes times are hard for everyone these days financially if you are unable to donate please pray for Sierra and her family as they go through this difficult time.
Any unused money at the end of our journey hopefully ending in remission, will be donated to another Lymphoma-diagnosed family in need.

Matthew 6:34 — Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
