Some children arrive in this world already proving they are extraordinary. Siera Gremi is one of those children. Eight years ago, Siera was born with Down syndrome and immediately faced a battle for her life. In those first fragile days, the outcome was uncertain. But Siera had other plans — she fought, she held on, and she won. Every day since, she has filled her family's world with a happiness that is impossible to put into words. She loves life fully, smiles with everything she has, and shares a bond with her father, Ergys, that is simply something rare and beautiful to witness. She was a fighter before she was even born — and she has never stopped proving it every single day.
Today, Siera is fighting again. Over the past week, she has been hospitalized with a severe pulmonary infection that has spread to her lungs. She is currently intubated and in critical condition in Albania. The little girl who beat the odds at birth is once again showing the world what she is made of — but this time, her family desperately needs our help. Ergys has not left his daughter's side. As any loving father would, he has poured every ounce of himself into being there for Siera — and as a result, he has lost his job. In Albania, where employment protections are limited and healthcare resources are stretched, this family is now facing a medical emergency and a financial crisis at exactly the same time. The costs of Siera's critical care, medications, and ongoing treatment are mounting. Ergys and his wife are doing absolutely everything they can. But they cannot do this alone.
If you have read this far, thank you. Truly. Whether you found this page through a friend, a share, or simply by chance — the fact that you are here means more to Ergys and his family than words can express. You may not know Siera personally. But if you could see her eyes light up, hear the way she laughs, or watch the way she reaches for her father's hand — you would understand immediately why the people who love her will move mountains to fight for her. At a personal level, Siera is my niece and I am absolutely heartbroken at her current situation and how helpless I feel right now. So this is my way to try and help my cousin Ergys and his family in a difficult time and with a situation that they have little control over. A donation of any size — even the smallest amount — goes directly toward keeping Siera alive and giving this family a chance to breathe financially. If giving isn't possible right now, a simple share of this page could reach the person who can. Every act of kindness matters here. Siera has been defying the odds her entire life. She has never stopped fighting, and she is not about to start now. All she needs is a village behind her. Thank you for being part of that village. From the bottom of the Gremi Family's hearts — thank you.
