Hi all, my name is Sienna. I’m a grad student in Wisconsin studying biology and aiming to attend medical school and eventually become a medical geneticist. I have a connective tissue disorder, mast cell activation syndrome, and an autonomic nervous system disorder. These affect nearly every system in my body; this includes: my joints’ stability, organ membrane strength, allergic response, gastroparesis, and heart’s rate and electrical pathways. I experience daily chronic pain and had multiple emergent procedures and surgeries in the past couple years.

My medical care has been very expensive, even after applying for financial aid through the hospital systems where I’ve been treated. I've leaned heavily on my mom's support during this time, but it's just not a sustainable option. Currently, I owe more than $60,000 from unexpected, urgently necessary surgeries and procedures.
