Support Sidney, Donald, and Baby Oakleigh: An Urgent Medical Journey

Life has a way of throwing the most unexpected hurdles our way, and for Sidney and Donald, that hurdle arrived far sooner than anyone anticipated. At just 28 weeks pregnant, Sidney began experiencing serious health complications that required immediate, specialized intervention. To ensure the safety of both her and the baby, she was emergency airlifted to Albuquerque to receive critical care.
The road ahead is a long one. Doctors have determined that Sidney will need to remain in Albuquerque under close medical supervision until she reaches 37 weeks due to preeclampsia. This means a two-month stay away from home and away from each other. To keep their household stable, Donald will be staying in Roswell to continue working, traveling back and forth to Albuquerque on the weekends to be by Sidney’s side.
While we are hopeful that a room at the Ronald McDonald House will become available for Sidney soon, the reality of living in two different cities brings a heavy financial burden. Between the constant travel back and forth from Roswell, daily living expenses, and the logistics of being displaced, the costs are mounting quickly.

What makes this timing particularly difficult is that Sidney and Donald were already in the middle of a major life transition. They were in the process of moving out of their current apartment and into a new home. While they have worked incredibly hard to ensure the rent and deposit for the new place are covered by the 28th of this month, this medical emergency has completely exhausted their remaining resources.

How You Can Help

We are asking for donations to help cover the costs of travel, food, and the various expenses that arise when a family is suddenly split between two cities.

Sidney and Donald are incredibly hardworking and were prepared for their new chapter, but no one can prepare for an emergency flight and a two-month medical separation. Any amount you can contribute will go directly toward travel costs and keeping this family focused on what matters most: bringing a healthy baby into the world.

Thank you for your prayers, your shares, and your generosity.
