My name is Jody and I am here to help out a friend who might be your friend, too!

I spend a good bit of time out & about in my neighborhood, and one of the places you’ll often find me is sipping a martini on the patio at OHSO in Paradise Valley.

The staff there is like family to me, especially Sid. We’ve been to spring training games and concerts together; I’ve done her hair, and she has watched my dogs. She’s a spicy soul with a heart of gold, and THAT is why I’m asking for your help today.

Recently, I found out that Sid’s kitty, Jasper, had a urinary tract infection. If you’ve ever had the “pleasure” of experiencing the absolute HELL that is a UTI, you already know the amount of pain and discomfort Jasper was going through. Now, imagine feeling that way and not having words to communicate with your person what you need!

At the end of the day, Jasper had a urinary obstruction and an inflamed kidney. Because urinary tract infections are so dangerous in male cats, he had to spend 2 nights at the emergency vet, was sedated, and had a catheter to clear the blockage. He will be fed a prescription diet now to prevent future occurrences.

Jasper’s final bill was $3,556.36.

Sid was able to finance the payments, but will incur interest fees over a period of time.

I just felt like what happened to Jasper was horrific, and maybe we can help a sister out who spends her life taking care of us.
