For Christy, Johnathan, and their grandmother, life changed in an instant after a devastating head-on collision on August 8th caused by a drunk driver. All three were rushed to the ICU with severe injuries, and their family is now facing an unimaginable crisis, with each of them on a long and difficult road to recovery, all remain in the ICU at this time.

Christy is a recent University of Nevada graduate who was just beginning her career. She loves to travel, get dressed up for fun photo shoots, and have regular coloring-book sessions with her two lifelong friends. She has a sweet, joyful spirit and cares deeply for the people she loves. More than anything, she treasures time with her family and friends.

Her younger brother, Johnathan, is a bright, funny middle schooler who loves playing the piano, skiing, sports, and gaming with his friends. He has been practicing “If You Love Me for Me” on the piano because he wants to play it for Christy on her wedding day someday. He is sweet, goofy, incredibly smart, and happiest when he is spending time with his family.

Their grandmother is kind, strong-willed, and full of life. She loves to travel and visit her home in Vietnam, and she is always laughing, joking, and making sure everyone around her is cared for and, of course, well fed. She has a way of bringing warmth wherever she goes, and her family means everything to her.

Right now, all three are facing their own difficult recoveries.

Johnathan has undergone multiple surgeries and is currently stable. Their grandmother is recovering but still has more procedures ahead. Christy remains in extremely critical condition and is not yet stable. Her family continues to hope and pray for improvement and for her condition to reach a point where doctors can safely move forward with the next steps in her care.

Christy and Johnathan’s mother was not in the car. She is now moving constantly between three hospital rooms, trying to be there for both of her children and her mother while taking everything one hour at a time.

We are raising funds to help take some of the financial pressure off this family while their focus needs to be on being together and getting through the days ahead.

Donations will help with medical-related expenses, lost income for family members who need to step away from work, meals and food delivery during long days and nights at the hospital, transportation, and other immediate expenses that come up along the way.

There is still so much we do not know about what the weeks and months ahead will look like. What we do know is that this family needs support right now.

If you are able to donate, any amount will help. If you are not in a position to give financially, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Christy, Johnathan, their grandmother, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers would mean so much.

Thank you for loving this family, supporting them, and helping carry some of the weight during an incredibly difficult time.
