Hello
my name is Julie and I am here on behalf of a wonderful family you all may know and love
They are the owners of Siam Treasure Thai Restaurant on Harlem and Touhy Ave
they have no idea I am doing this and would probably tell me not to that they are safe and that’s all that matters
I have the honor of being their Neighbor and Friend.
But, something terrible happened to them this last Friday night on February 27, 2026 while they were working
Their home was burglarized and the whole house completely
Ransacked
items and money were stolen that cannot be replaced
We all know how lately this neighborhood has been plagued by crime like Tony’s Deli and more and Friday night it was his turn
Apparently he has been watched for quite some time as the perpetrators came prepared with a crowbar and a getaway driver we saw later on a neighbors video.
He feels like they must have been watching his schedule.
So I am asking for your help, to replenish what he lost that home owners ins doesn’t cover. It was a lot
He has cameras and somehow they by passed them and once inside disconnected them all. They clearly are seasoned criminals
I would love to also get him a better home a security system
We felt so bad as we were not home we were celebrating my daughter’s birthday and they must have timed it just so knowing we also went out.
scary!!!!
Who burglarizes a house at 8:09 pm?
Siam Treasure is just him, his mother and his girlfriend Pam doing it all. Cooking, taking orders, serving and delivery
They took over the restaurant a couple years ago from a family member and poured their heart & soul into it and made it their own.
Soon after their dream came true they bought a home, and we are so lucky that it is next to us.
Peilei and his mother are up and at it 12 hrs a day .
I know this because I see them come and go and to top it off Peilei trains in the summer every morning for the Chicago Marathon before his 12 hour shift.
He is nothing but hard working and dedicated to taking care of his mother
So this is where you come in
please donate …..NO AMOUNT IS TOO SMALL
they took it all ……money and items that insurance will not cover
the amount of this fundraiser is literally 1/2 the amount they lost. But we have to start somewhere right?
and he really needs his Village to step up and to get back on his feet
to be able to pay his restaurant bill As well as his mortgage
Lets keep Siam Treasure going
so I ask
please donate
please eat at and order from Siam Treasure on Harlem Avenue & Touhy
Please if you have a media connection share it with them.
but also please help us surprise him with the the help he would never ask for
he deserves it, he is kind, respectful and really loves his Restaurant, his family, his neighbors and
he is just trying to take care of his family
I had the heartbreaking experience of him ringing our bell at 11pm tears in his eyes and shaking like a leaf saying “my house has been burglarized and I don’t know what to do” “Do I just call the Police.” He was in shock &
I was devastated for him. And he just came off of a 12 hour day expecting to enjoy his home for a few hours before going back to work
My husband went with him and called the police and stayed with him to help secure his bsmnt door until it was fixed today. Needless to say they are scared to be in their own home. “His only words were at-least we are all safe “
my husband said the damage was unthinkable
he lost so much and insurance will not cover it all ie:cash etc
His wonderful mother sends food over and every time she goes back to Thailand she brings us and our girls treats and just smiles as she has very little English
because…..
KINDNESS HAS NO ONE LANGUAGE
A SMILE AND A HUG ARE UNIVERSAL
LOVE HAS NO BOUNDRIES
But she looks broken and its the saddest thing to watch
so PLEASE help me help them
I ask for only anything you are able to give
let’s show him this neighborhood is not as ugly as the crime that comes thru
i will take pics and videos if he allows
to show you how grateful this sweet harmless, generous family will be once I present them with the funds from this
I ask you to share
and spread the word That we are a village that takes care of ea other
With so much gratitude
Julie
