Support Shwetha's Family in Their Time of Loss

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and tragic passing of Shwetha Manjunath on the night of Friday, March 7, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was just 38 years old - a kind, bright, and compassionate soul who touched many lives with her generosity and unwavering support for others.

Originally from Bangalore, Shwetha moved to the U.S. three years ago, carrying dreams of a better future for herself and her family. As the sole breadwinner, she dedicated her life to supporting her mother, younger sister, and younger brother, especially after losing her father at a young age. She worked tirelessly to provide for her loved ones and ensure her siblings had access to a good education.

What Happened?

On Wednesday, Shwetha developed a mild cough. By Thursday evening, as her fever worsened, she visited a nearby urgent care, where she was given medication. Initially, she felt some relief, but by Friday morning, she woke up feeling extremely weak and exhausted. She returned to the same urgent care, where doctors, concerned about her condition, called 911 to have her transferred to an emergency center.

She was taken to Wellstar Cobb Emergency Department in Austell, Atlanta, where, despite medical efforts, she tragically passed away that night. Her sudden passing has left her family in profound grief and financial distress.
