Support Shuli's Gender Transition Surgery Costs

Donation protected
If you haven't met Shuli Elisheva, either in person or online, you're missing out on a very special person. Shuli is a 35-year-old transgender woman. In December, 2 years after coming out as transgender, Shuli will be undergoing full bottom surgery as part of her transition. Transitioning is expensive! In addition to the obvious medical expenses involved in her upcoming surgery, Shuli has already spent thousands of dollars for electrolysis, laser hair removal, an entirely new wardrobe, and medical treatment & evaluations, including hormone replacement therapy. After surgery, Shuli will be bedridden for at least 2 months and won't be allowed to drive for at least 3 months. Please help us ensure her financial stability while she undergoes surgery and subsequent recovery by donating to this campaign.

About Shuli:
Shuli is a 35-year-old Orthodox Jewish mother of a young child. She is a scholar, musician, composer, polyglot, Yiddish teacher & poet, and all-around amazing woman. She loves bright colors, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and teaching people about how to be a good transgender ally. In her two years since coming out as transgender, Shuli has written extensively about gender dysphoria, depression, anxiety, and her personal transgender journey and experience. Her work has helped both Jewish and non-Jewish trans people in their own journeys and also helped allies (and would-be allies) get a better glimpse into her journey as a Jewish trans woman. In addition to her prominent social media presence, Shuli writes a monthly column for the e-magazine UNORTHOBOXED about her experiences as an Orthodox Jewish trans woman, helping to build bridges of compassion within a world that is not always accepting of trans people. She has created safe spaces on the internet for cis allies to ask questions and have conversations without fear of being labeled transphobic.

Shuli has donated to numerous transgender GoFundMe campaigns in addition to signal-boosting transgender GoFundMe campaigns to her extensive social network. Please help Shuli, just as she has helped many others!
