Support Shrek's Recovery Journey

On the morning of 12/27/24, I found Shrek laying in the grass on my way to work. He was very likely hit by a car and his body was in shock. Shrek was able to be stabilized, but has a significant injury to his spinal cord (tail pull injury.) He walks great, but he is fecal and urinary incontinent. He needs his bladder manually expressed daily and wears diapers. Shrek had some significant road rash and bruising on his abdomen. The skin is starting to heal, but has some areas of ulceration. Shrek is currently receiving laser therapy and acupuncture, as well as taking medications to help with pain and inflammation. His prognosis is guarded, as he may never regain nerve function. Shrek’s owners have not been located. While he receives treatment and rests, he will be staying with me, where he is also getting endless love and cuddles. Proceeds will go towards his medications, treatments, special diet, and cute puppy diapers.
