Support Showpeople Theatre's Artistic Journey

We are Showpeople Theatre Collective, an almost 4-year-old collective of artists that are passionate about creating theatre. In our short lifetime as a company we have written 3 original musicals which have been (or are) set to perform at notable venues such as the New York Theatre Festival and 54 Below. We have created fully-produced cast recordings of each of our musicals (Shudder, To the Fairest, and Lost Justice), which are available on all major streaming platforms. Most recently, we hosted a musical theatre song-writing competition, which produced more amazing music, and can be viewed on our YouTube channel. Over the years, our group has expanded to include multidisciplinary artists of all kinds: performers, writers, musicians, directors, choreographers, designers, technicians, and more. Our goal is to have a highly active, fully-produced, year-round season that is constantly creating content.
Up until now, this labor of love has been almost exclusively volunteer-based. As we continue to grow, and create goals of higher calibers, we hope to be able to compensate our artists for their hard work. Funding is essential for the arts as we need to pay for various travel, props, costumes, equipment, etc. If you, or anyone you know is passionate about theatre and new works, we would be incredibly grateful for any size donation that we receive.
Our fundraising goal at this time is $5,000. We expect the majority of this to go towards our New York Theatre Festival production of Shudder this October. Any additional funds we will use to compensate our artists as much as we are able and to hopefully have leftovers for future projects. Thank you so much for your help, and your passion for the theatre!
