That's right folks, you heard it here first... Chicago's own Shout Section Big Band is in the process of cooking up ANOTHER burning hot big band album - "Tatum's Swingin' Session!" and we need your help to make the magic happen! In the wake of the band's successful previous album "Swing Forward!", we've invited Chicago native & internationally acclaimed vocalist Tatum Langley back into the studio with us to bring the world some more swingin' songs & twistin' tunes - and you know what they say: bigger is better & better is bigger... so we invite YOU to help be a part of our latest undertaking & contribute to the creation of the next greatest big band album on this side of the Mississippi (or so they're saying...)
Big Band albums are costly to make - especially if you record in a state of the art facility that can accommodate the wide range of instruments in our orchestra.
Every little bit goes a long way to support this project & the many musicians, engineers, etc. involved, and ANY pennies you can spare, we appreciate massively!

The Shout Section Big Band was formed in 2007. Since then, we've been entertaining audiences at swing dances, weddings, corporate events, city concerts, festivals and schools all over the Midwest. We've been featured on WGN TV, WBEZ radio, and on the nationally syndicated television show, "Vampire Diaries." We were hired by Amazon.com to perform 1940's swing for the opening of the Amazon Prime series "A League of Their Own." Shout Section holds prestigious residencies at Chicago's most storied venues such as Andy's Jazz Club and Fitzgerald's Nightclub. The band also performs a monthly dance for the lindy-swing community at the Roxy Theater in the Chicago suburbs.

An amalgamation of musical influences, Tatum Langley is a Chicago-born, raised, and based vocalist & performer specializing in big band jazz & musical theatre styles. With mesmerizing vocal agility, captivating stage presence, and a voice that is certainly larger than her small build may suggest, Tatum has charmed the audiences of cozy jazz clubs & intimate cabaret venues, as well as shaken the rafters of performance spaces & theaters across the globe. She regularly records & tours with internationally-renowned musical sensation “Postmodern Jukebox”, amassing millions of views online, and sings regularly with Chicago’s own Shout Section Big Band. She has residencies of her own at venues such as The Drake Hotel's Coq d'Or lounge, and recently wrote & performed her own cabaret, "A Walk Down 42nd Street: Broadway's Biggest Hits & Best Kept Secrets". She has her BFA in Musical Theatre from Ball State University, and has multiple regional theatre & production credits under her belt.
She believes that telling a story & connecting with others through performance is a necessary healing force in this world, allowing us to learn from & understand one another.
