Hi Everyone ♥️
On July 20th, I was hospitalized and diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL) — a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer. I’ve been in the hospital ever since, undergoing intensive treatment and chemotherapy, working through complications and setbacks.
This experience has turned my life upside down. I had to step away completely from one of my jobs, and while I’ve been doing my best to keep up with the other remotely from the hospital, there have been more days than not where I’ve had to close my laptop and focus on rest. Meanwhile, the cost of care and everyday life responsibilities have continued to build.
If you know me, you know how independent I am and how hard it is for me to ask for help. But I’ve come to realize that during something like this, asking for support isn’t a weakness — it’s a necessity. I want to make sure I still have a home to return to, space to recover, and the ability to focus on healing without the added stress of financial pressure.
Even when I finally get to leave the hospital, I’ll still be undergoing outpatient treatment — with ongoing medications, appointments, and time away from work. The journey doesn’t end when I’m discharged.
It took me a long time to feel okay putting this together. But between lost income, life and medical costs, and my insurance renewing, this is a realistic estimate of what I need to get through the next few months. But seriously, any bit helps!!
I’m asking for help covering essential needs during this time, including:
* Medical bills from my current and extended inpatient stay
* Future outpatient treatments, prescriptions and follow-up care (expected 2-3 years)
* Basic living expenses while I’m unable to fully work
Anything you can give — or even just sharing this — would mean so much to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
xoxo, Shorty Love ♥️
