Support Short Film about Disney Town Celebration

"Celebration - The World is a Carousel of Colors" is the first short film by me, Sarah Drath, after my graduation from the Academy of Fine Arts Hamburg, Germany.

I am so excited about production and making this film, but I need your help!

What happens when the Disney dream factory tries to build a city on its own? The experimental short film "Celebration - The World is a Carousel of Colors" (WT) follows in the footsteps of a utopia and takes up the current perceptions and hopes of the residents for their dream city.

"Celebration - The World is a Carousel of Colors" is about the city of Celebration, Florida, which was planned and built by the Walt Disney Company in the mid-1990s and is located directly outside the gates of Walt Disney World Orlando. The planning for Celebration began in the wake of New Urbanism, a movement that declared war on car-driven development and promised to re-introduce suburban Americans to the civic virtue of active community engagement and therefore safety.

I would like to research, recognize and process the residents' perceptions and needs and collect them. I want to transport hopes, emotions, wishes and disappointments from the cosmos of Celebration into my film and illuminate them for the viewers.

So far there is no film, neither short nor long, that artistically deals with the Town of Celebration. What does it look like 30 years after the town was founded? This film is not only for Disney fans, but also for those interested in New Urbanism, New Traditionalism and anyone who wants to support independent and unconventional cinema.

With your donation, I would be able to rent important camera equipment that I couldn't bring here from Germany. It would also be possible for me to hire a small team for a few days of shooting. Part of the donations goes to the fees of extras who I urgently need for filming re-enactments.

In post-production it would be possible for me to have 3D animations incorporated and to obtain music licenses.
