My name is Sharon Wright. I'm raising funds for my amazing friend and coworker, Shondra Blacknall. I'll let Shondra tell her story in her own words.
Hi everyone,
On February 6, 2026, I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Since then, life has changed very quickly not only for me but also for my family and loved ones. So far, I've gone through two rounds of chemotherapy treatments with a third scheduled. I've had days that have tested me mentally, physically, and emotionally. Though the treatment has been hard, I'm continuing to believe in God's almighty power by fighting with faith, family, and friends.
My next major step will be a bone marrow transplant. During this process, I will need to temporarily relocate and stay close to the hospital for approximately three months after the transplant. I will also require a 24-hour caregiver during recovery, as my immune system will be extremely compromised, and I will need constant support and monitoring.
Because of the intensity of treatment and recovery, I am asking for help to ease some of the financial burden that comes with this journey. Donations will help cover:
1. Temporary housing near the hospital (approximately $4,000/month for 3 months)
2. Medical expenses not covered by insurance
3. Transportation
4. Caregiver support and daily living expenses
Anyone who knows me knows this is not easy for me to ask, but right now, my family and I could truly use the additional support. If you are unable to donate, prayers, words of encouragement, and sharing this link are just as appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for supporting me during one of the hardest seasons of my life.
"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
With love, Shondra
