I’m reaching out today on behalf of an incredible woman — a loving, selfless, and fiercely devoted mother — who is currently fighting one of the most important battles of her life: the fight to keep custody of her daughter, Em.

Since the day Em was born, Shonda has been the primary caretaker — solely responsible for all of Em’s needs. She’s been there for every milestone, every scraped knee, every bedtime story, and every moment in between. She has built a safe, loving, and stable home where Em has always known she is deeply cared for and protected.

Recently, their world was turned upside down. After spending spring break away, Em was supposed to return to Shonda on April 6th. Instead, she is being wrongfully withheld. Now, this devoted mother is in a heartbreaking and urgent legal fight to bring her daughter home where she belongs.

Navigating the family court system is overwhelming and expensive, and the mounting legal fees are creating an impossible burden for her. Despite everything she’s facing, she remains strong and focused on what matters most: Emery’s happiness, security, and future.
