Help Shmuli complete his Master's and become a film-composer in Hollywood.

Hello, I'm Shmuli Myers, an aspiring film composer from Slovakia. Music and study have always been a passion of mine, and after putting myself through college and completing a Bachelor's degree in Musical Composition For Visual Media I decided to continue pursuing that path with a Master's. I'm studious, curious, and passionate about music, and firmly believe that becoming a composer for the big screen is an attainable goal, with God's help.

I was fortunate to get accepted to the Jacobs School of Music in Indiana, and began studies in Fall 2023. Due to financial considerations I took a leave of absence after one semester, during which I worked in Los Angeles, but eventually I realized that university is truly where I belong, and decided to return to Indiana to complete my Master's.

Tuition is covered mostly by savings; I received a small scholarship, not enough to significantly impact my situation.

For everything other than tuition (including housing, food, etc.) my father agreed to help me out, and I will be working part-time God-willing. However, I come from a very large family (13 children), and he is also currently fully supporting at least six of my younger siblings, and my grandfather who currently lives with us. This means that it is often difficult to get funds in time, and I often cut corners on things like groceries, which isn't the best lifestyle as a college student.

I'm hoping to raise enough to cover rent (1000$/month + utilities) for the remaining year and a half of my Master's. If we could cover food and other necessities as well that would be really great, but for now we're keeping the goal at 18,000$ (1,000 x 18 months), and I'll supplement the rest from a part-time job. If we're very successful and can cover other expenses as well, I’ll be able to study full-time without concerns which would level up my educational value tremendously.
