UPDATE: Shirley is going backwards in recovery not forwards, she is being put on hospice unsure yet as to if it’s going to be in the hospital, at a facility, or if she can come home and it be done at home. With her being in the hospital almost 4 weeks fighting for her life the hospital bills are piling up as insurance only covers so much if you have it in your heart to pray, donate, or just support her in her journey it would be greatly appreciated!
On Sunday, March 29th, my mom Shirley was taken by ambulance to Harris hospital after she began acting strangely and seemed off. It was a frightening experience for our family, and when we arrived at the hospital, Shirley wasn't doing well. The doctors worked hard to stabilize her, and for a few days, she was unresponsive and unable to communicate. Thankfully, after some time, she came to and was able to talk, giving us hope for her recovery. She has now been transferred to Mission Hospital and is in the ICU being monitored for more strokes, and swelling of her brain.
This unexpected medical emergency has brought a lot of challenges. Shirley now needs ongoing care and support as she recovers, and the medical expenses are quickly adding up. Our family is doing everything we can to help her, but we need some extra support to cover the costs and ensure she gets the best care possible.
Any support you can give means so much to us. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help Shirley get the care she needs. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in her recovery and our family's journey.
