My name is Shirley, and I am a 47-year-old mother of three, a surgical technologist, and a wife to my wonderful husband, Mike. In November 2025, my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer. Since then, life has been a whirlwind of doctor’s appointments, tests, and treatments. I recently underwent a colon resection, and now I am preparing for chemotherapy and radiation. The journey has been incredibly traumatic, and I am finding it hard to keep up with daily life. The exhaustion from both the illness and the treatments has made it impossible for me to work, which has added another layer of stress for my family and me.
My husband Mike has been my rock, and our children—Parker (23), Preston (19), and Khloe (17)—have been so supportive, but this has been a difficult time for all of us. The medical bills are piling up, and the uncertainty about the future is overwhelming. We are doing our best to stay strong and hopeful, but we know we can’t do this alone. Any support we receive will go directly toward my medical expenses and help us manage the day-to-day costs while I focus on healing and being there for my family.
We would be so grateful for any prayers or donations you can offer to help us through this challenging time. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to us, and every bit of support brings us closer to recovery and hope. Thank you for standing with us.
