About two weeks ago, my dear friend Shirl’s husband, Mike Everson, had a massive stroke and was suffering the aftereffects. He wound up back in the hospital and sadly passed away on February 24, 2025.

Sweet Shirl has lost the love of her life. Not only that, she has MS, and Mikey took care of her. When he came home from the hospital following the stroke, she was doing her best to take care of him.

She now faces funeral expenses, medical expenses, and living expenses, and she’s unable to work because of MS. I’m setting up this GoFundMe so that maybe she can have a small amount of peace of mind at the front end of this uncertain time for her.

Mikey’s celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Liverpool Legion.
