A few weeks ago Shirin suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that landed her in the ICU with ongoing complications. Thanks to the incredible work of her neurosurgeons, Neuro ICU team and many prayers, Shirin was extubated, awake and slowly improving each day.

Shirin has dedicated the last decade of her life to helping others as an LCSW, focusing her heart on children in need. She has always gone above & beyond (often working 60 to 80 hours a week) putting her clients first, even at the expense of her own time & health. One of the very first things she asked about when she woke up was her clients! Showing her selflessness & compassion. Shirin is an amazing aunty, sister and daughter and SO loved by those who know her!

It’s now our turn to support Shirin and her family. Though Shirin has insurance, the coverage is limited when it comes to the extended care & intensive rehab she will need. These costs will be out of pocket and we are hoping to raise as much as we can to help her cover these medical bills.

To her friends, coworkers, therapist and social work community, and those who have been touched by her kindness.. your support & love have meant so much the last few weeks. The outpouring of care has lifted her family’s spirits in this difficult time. Thank you for keeping Shirin in your thoughts, prayers, and hearts.
