Teamsters Family — Let’s Support Our Brother Chino

As many of you may already know, our Teamster brother Eligio “Chino” Gonzalez suffered a stroke this past Friday while on the job. Chino is only 42 years old and has a beautiful family who depends on him — a 10-year-old, a newborn, and another baby on the way.

Chino will be out of work for some time as he recovers and will be relying on disability benefits. During this difficult period, we have an opportunity to come together as a Teamster family and support him in any way we can.

What happened to Chino is a reminder that this could happen to any one of us. Let’s take this moment to take care of our own health — get checked out, follow doctor’s orders, and do what we can to stay healthy so we can be there for our children and grandchildren.

Please keep Chino and his family in your thoughts and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Let’s stand together, as we always do, to lift up one of our own.
