**new update**** A heartfelt thank you to everyone who cared to donate, send messages, calls and most importantly prayers. We are grateful she is alive, alert and will now start the road to recovery. GOD IS GOOD!!
During the recent winter storm, unsafe road and sidewalk conditions led to a tragic accident in which ShiAnn was struck by a vehicle while trying to get home from work in Richmond, VA. She is currently in the ICU on a ventilator receiving critical medical care.
ShiAnn is a bright, responsible young woman who balances school, work and always showing up for others. While we are grateful that she survived this horrible accident and are prayerfully remaining at her bedside, she is unable to work or attend school, and the financial burden of medical care, rehabilitation, and basic living expenses is quickly adding up.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Medical expenses and ongoing treatment
• Rehabilitation and recovery support
• Living expenses while she is unable to work
• Any unforeseen costs during her healing journey
ShiAnn is a 2023 graduate of Gloucester High School, where she was an active member of the GHS Dukes Marching Band, playing the clarinet and served as a co-drum major in her senior year. ShiAnn completed her freshman year at Old Dominium University and transferred to Virginia Union University, where she is currently enrolled in her sophmore year, majoring in Education, bringing her closer to her goal of becoming a teacher. ShiAnn has always enjoyed interacting with children. Last year she had the privilege of working at the Boys and Girls Club, in her hometown of Gloucester, as a Youth Leader. ShiAnn is currently employed at The Westwood Club in Richmond where she works within the youth activities program and she works at Upward Bound at Virginia Union University in Richmond as a youth counselor.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for sharing if you're able, and for keeping ShiAnn in your thoughts and prayers. We are deeply grateful for any support.
