I am reaching out asking for help for my sister Sheryl Bever Bagshaw . She has been through a lot (especially in the last 2 years). Two days before Mother’s Day 2023, her husband Aaron died from complications due to bladder cancer and heart failure. About a month later, Sheryl visited a liver specialist who diagnosed her with cirrhosis/end stage liver disease caused by a genetic disorder that our dad and grandma died from. Then, from May to July of this past year, she had some heavy female bleeding that the doctors said was due to menopause. It became so bad that she couldn’t leave the house and she became so sick and weak that she couldn’t even get out of bed for weeks. The doctors did some more testing and diagnosed her with pre-cancerous cells on her cervix. Sheryl was unable to get in right away to see the specialists and has had to wait until now to finally get surgery scheduled for a hysterectomy. She has been told that she will be out of work for 6 weeks to recover. She can’t afford to be out of work that long. As it is, she has been struggling over the past 6 months because of lost work hours (although she would never complain or tell you this). My sister Sheryl is the most generous and positive person I know despite all that she has gone through and still has to go through. She has sacrificed and cared for everyone around her and now needs your help.
