My name is Shervonne, and for over 20 years, I’ve supported my family as a hairbraider. I’m a proud parent of three wonderful children, and my work has always been the foundation of our lives. On November 29, 2024, everything changed when I was in a car accident caused by a young man who fled the scene. The accident left me with a spine injury, unable to stand for long periods or drive, and I’m currently waiting on disability support. Since then, I’ve lost my main source of income and have struggled to provide for my children.

The donations from this fundraiser will go directly toward helping us with phone bills, warm coats for my children, basic living expenses, and some of my larger medical bills and medications. Every bit of support will make a real difference in our lives, especially as I work to recover and keep my family safe and cared for during this difficult time.

I’m crying as I type this because you never know how life can change. I’ve always taken care of myself and my family, and it’s hard to ask for help. I appreciate any amount you can give, especially for my children, who have continued to maintain good grades in school despite everything we’ve been through.
