Support Sherry's Fight Against Throat Cancer

What I thought was seasonal laryngitis and an ear infection since May 2024 wasn’t that at all. My voice would come and go, and the ear pain was horrible. After many visits to an ENT, I now have a diagnosis - throat cancer on my voice box. Surgery is scheduled for August 16th to remove the cancer and find out what kind it is before I start chemotherapy treatments. I can barely talk, and nothing just comes out, and now I’m sick on top of this.

I talk for a living and that’s how I provide for my sons, so I will be off work until September 1st as of right now.

As for today, that is all I know until surgery this Friday morning. Will they take my voice box and insert a tube, or will they get it all out and a few rounds of chemo will do? I have talked to Jesus more and more over this, and my heart is scared. I don’t ask for help, I’m too stubborn, but if I don’t and can’t work for a few more weeks, I’m going to be in some big trouble.

If you can’t help, please just pray for me and mine. I am all they have, and this has me so scared right now.
