Support Sherry Vogel in Memory of James Vogel

Hello, my name is Jake Vogel. I am a Network Administrator with the Air Force at Eielson AFB, Alaska.

I am trying to raise funds to help my mom, Sherry Vogel, cover the cost of the funeral and service arrangements for my father, James Vogel, who has been battling multiple myeloma cancer for a few years. He had surgery and got rid of most of it, was told he'd never walk again. After the surgery, he was able to wiggle his toes, and from that point on, we knew he'd do everything in his power to walk. It didn't take very long before he was up and about doing tasks and activities he shouldn't have been. He was a man that was always going to do what he set his mind to. At this point, my mom and I thought he had a pretty good chance at a few more years or more based on the success of the surgery and his functions returned. Sadly, it came back slowly and worse than before, causing constant pain and suffering. Eventually, it got so bad he was put into hospice and passed shortly after. My father was one of a kind, a headstrong Army veteran of 20 years who impacted my life and many others greatly. Someone who you could count on and whose word was worth everything, a man of honor. Anything you can contribute to help my mother will be greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance!
