Support Sherry Vaughn's Safe Transition to Care
I am a retired ICU nurse and have been deeply involved in a personal cancer battle for 5 years. Consequently, I lost contact with many. I recently learned my dear friend Sherry Vaughn, after her lifelong partner's sudden death, slipped through the cracks and was about to be literally dumped into a homeless shelter in St. Louis. The nurse in me jumped in my car and went to get her. She is now safe, housed, and fed, with me, in my home.
I intend to assist her in finding placement here in my area since she has no family with the capacity (or apparently,, desire) to help her. But I need help due to time lag getting her into a facility. Among many other care items, I especially need a portable oxygen concentrator so I can get her to the many appointments required for admission. I am on a fixed income and any amount, even a few dollars, will help!
Thank you so very much!
