My mother, Sherry Knaus, has been courageously battling stage 4 breast cancer for the past nine years. Last month, she was rushed to the hospital with severe abdominal pain, which led to a series of emergency surgeries. The first surgery kept her in the hospital for nine days, and we were hopeful she was on the mend. Unfortunately, just a week after being released, Sherry’s health took another turn for the worse. More scans revealed ongoing complications, and she needed a second, much more invasive emergency surgery. This time, she was admitted to the ICU and placed on a ventilator. Within 24 hours, she required a third surgery. Thankfully, the third procedure went well, and the doctors believe they found the issue, but her recovery is slow and uncertain. Sherry has finally been removed from the ventilator and is making small steps toward recovery. However, with her ongoing cancer treatment, healing is especially difficult, and her condition needs constant monitoring. This has been an incredibly hard time for our family, both emotionally and financially. We have never had to ask for help before, but the financial burden is becoming overwhelming. Between mounting medical bills, the cost of a rehab facility, and everyday living expenses like rent, phone bills, and utilities, we are struggling to keep up. Any donations are greatly appreciated, and if you are unable to give, we kindly ask for your prayers and support. Sherry is a fighter, and we know she will battle through this with the help of our community, family and friends. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
