Sherri Freeman is the kind of friend who is always there for everyone, no matter what. She never asks for help, but she is the first to offer it to others. Sherri has faced more than her share of hardship years ago she had a stroke but that didn't didn't make her quit she has to use a walker and moves very slow even refused to move to a ground level apartment she just does it, up the stairs with her cane and back down to get her groceries or the supplies she needs to make someone a glass flower or a Christmas wreath recently—she lost her mom just two weeks ago, her aunt shortly after, following the tragic loss of her daughter Sierra. Through it all, Sherry has remained strong, caring, and an incredible asset to our community.
Just days ago a large very heavy peice of furniture fell on Sherri leaving her trapped for five days, unable to move. She was severely dehydrated and was found just in time. On top of this, Sherri has been living with four fractures in her back and has been waiting for surgery for months. She is currently being moved from Tacoma General to Burien for further care. Even now, she tries to keep her spirits up, but and will never ask for help and faces a long road to recovery.
Sherry would never ask for help herself, so we are coming together to support her. The funds raised will go directly toward her recovery, including medical expenses, surgery, assistance she may need for her general mobility and support for her daily needs. Please join us in helping Sherri as she has helped so many of us. Every bit of support will make a real difference in her life as she works to regain her strength and independence. Your empathy and contributions are much appreciated
