Sherri Bihn is a mom and small business owner with a truly generous heart. For more than 25 years, she has brought love and great energy to our community. She has volunteered her time as an assistant coach for the Drake/Archie Williams High School Mountain Bike Team, cheered tirelessly as a proud Sleepy Hollow Swim Team and SHAQ Water Polo mom, and inspired others through her dedication as a CrossFitter.
Last weekend, Sherri suffered an accident that left her with multiple fractures to both legs, a broken Tibia on the left, and broken Metatarsal on the right. The injuries were severe and required two surgeries. Doctors inserted plates and screws into her tibia and foot to stabilize the breaks. She will be confined to a wheelchair for at least six weeks and cannot put any weight on either leg during that time.
As many of you know, Sherri works as an Esthetician at MedSpa and also owns a small hair studio in Kentfield. Both roles require her to be on her feet all day. Because she cannot stand or walk, she will be unable to work for at least six weeks, which will leave her without income while medical bills and everyday expenses continue to grow.
Some of you may also know that in December, Sherri was hospitalized with a tear in her carotid artery and a large blood clot in her neck. It was a life-threatening situation, and she spent five nights in the hospital. We were all incredibly relieved when she was able to return home, but the recovery required more than three weeks away from work, creating significant financial strain. She had only recently begun returning to full-time work when this latest accident occurred.
She is now facing even greater financial strain due to mounting medical bills after additional nights at MarinHealth Medical Center. Beyond hospital expenses, she needs to get a wheelchair and a specialized bed so she can safely recover on the ground floor of her home. At the same time, she continues to support two children attending college, while managing the high cost-of-living challenges that so many families face in Marin County.
Your support will help cover medical expenses and basic living costs, allowing Sherri to focus fully on healing without the overwhelming stress of lost income. If you are able to give, share, or send words of encouragement, it would mean so much.
Let’s come together to support Sherri!
