Hey y'all my name is Sherri and I have been having an incredibly hard time lately. Just 4 months ago I moved right next door so I could get to work and pick up more hours. I was working full time (more hours then most of the management) at Starbucks, but as of April 23rd I haven't been able to step foot inside the door.
I started having dizzy spells and my nose started bleeding while I was at work. I went to the health department and it turned out I had an extremely bad sinus infection and I did a round of 2 weeks of antibiotics (while still trying to work. A week passed and I ended up getting the same sinus infection a second time, but this time the dizzy spells got so much worse.
I had talked to some friends and they suggested getting an EKG done. So I was going to run a quick errand with my friend and she was going to bring me to get an EKG done that day. Within the span of 20 minutes of being at the dog groomers I was so light-headed I had to sit on the floor; then I had to lay on the floor. I ended up passing out I don't know how long. Once my friend discovered I was passed out and after I'd woken up; she took me to the ER.
I was completely in a daze and I was kind of forgetful, but I was able to check myself in to the ER desk. Within minutes of checking myself in the ER desk I had to sit on the floor yet again because I felt like I was going to pass out. I spent two days in the hospital and they did every test known to man... and I had to be wheeled around the entire time cuz I couldn't walk. Nobody can figure out what's wrong. They did mention POTS and told me I needed to get it tilted table test.
I don't have insurance I've done a lot of research and I've called a lot of places the only place that does it in my state is the Mayo clinic. They are requiring a $5,000 deposit in order to get an appointment and then that will also cover the test. I don't qualify for the financial assistance either. Starbucks also will not fire me so I can collect unemployment.
So this brings me to the issues I've been having. I've had to take out two loans one for $1,900 and another that I'm about to try and take out for $700. I live alone and I depend on just myself. The problem is I'm not finding any at-home jobs. I am absolutely 100% a huge workaholic and I haven't been able to work since April 23rd. Which means that I'm not going to be able to pay my bills coming soon.
If you've been able to read this long I truly appreciate you and I absolutely have to swallow my pride and ask for help because I won't have rent money. Not because I don't want to, but because I can't physically work right now. Anybody that knows me knows I have to swallow my pride and ask for help because I quite simply can't do it alone right now and very soon I'm going to have to start making really big payments for these loans and have rent coming up.
So I'm requesting that if you could even give a dollar share this or even give me suggestions for at-home jobs that you know are hiring currently and are not commission-based...I'm even looking for resources. I pride myself on being self-sufficient so this is definitely hard for me and I want to get back to that again. I am currently on a walker. Thank you for reading this and if you're able to I appreciate the help.
