Support Sherri's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
In October of 2017, Sherri (my mother) was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) after her annual mammogram. Aggressive treatment began shortly after her diagnosis. During this time, she continued working and taking care of her two children: Cole (now 25 years old) and myself, Jacqueline (now 20 years old). This was the first of many testimonies to her mental toughness and unbreakable spirit. The treatment was brutal, but thankfully, she went into remission after a double mastectomy, complete hysterectomy, and chemotherapy.
In December of 2022, our family celebrated her 5 years cancer-free milestone. Anyone who knows my mom will tell you that she is one of, if not, the most active, resilient, and driven people they know. She lives every day fearlessly and to the fullest, and her positive outlook is at the forefront of every obstacle thrown her way.
After moving into a new house in early April, Sherri was ready to open a new chapter of her life. However, in the last few weeks, our family has been blindsided as she’s become sick again. After a trip to one of her doctors, a visit to Patient First, and running a fever for over a week straight, she still wasn’t improving.
On Sunday, April 27th 2025, Sherri was taken to the hospital via ambulance. She was diagnosed with a sinus infection, double pneumonia, and severe anemia. By Tuesday, April 29th 2025, Sherri was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). Sherri’s specific form of leukemia is a result of the treatment she received for TNBC. This diagnosis has been devastating for many people in her life, especially her children. She began chemotherapy treatment on Wednesday, April 30th 2025.
Our hope—along with that of her doctors—is that she will be released by the end of May, God willing, and that she will not need a bone marrow transplant, which remains the last resort in treatment at this time. She is currently at the John’s Hopkins Hospital in downtown Baltimore, where she will remain for the entire duration of her treatment, as her immune system is severely compromised.
During this time, she will be on disability from work and focusing solely on recovery. Our family is raising funds to help cover extensive medical bills and household expenses during this incredibly difficult time.
Our family is beyond grateful for the overwhelming support we received during her first battle with cancer, and even more so now, as the support has been tenfold. There are no words to describe our gratitude for all your kind words and your prayers for our mom and our family. God has truly blessed us with an amazing support system and we thank Him daily for each and every one of you.
Thank you all for your donations, prayers, and support during this long journey!

Please consider donating to help Sherri fight this battle. Every bit of support truly makes a difference.

With love and faith,
Jacqueline and Cole
