As close friends of Sherrie McQueen and as a community, we want to rally around her and support her with an outpouring of love and support.
At 1 am, September 14, we lost a Homer, GA staple when Tiny Town Restaurant caught fire and burned to the ground. Many of us enjoyed wonderful meals and meeting with friends to get the latest goings-on in the county. Sherrie poured her heart into making a nice place for everyone in the community to get together.
It is fitting that we all come together and help Sherrie and Ms. Linda out in this time of need. Running a small business and local restaurant is difficult, especially for a single working mother, and there was no budget to secure insurance. To rebuild our Tiny Town Restaurant and, more importantly, to care for and support Sherrie and her staff is paramount as they will be out of work.
Let's come together and help these wonderful people and members of our community who have graciously served us day in and day out.
We will miss Tiny Town, but we will still have the memories.
